Introducing the Yumonam Interns (Tam)
Today, we would like to introduce Tam, an intern at Yumonam! Tam is a third-year student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT) and is interning at Yumonam for about two months. He can speak English and Japanese well, so he helps us communicate with the Vietnamese staff as an interpreter.
Q: What are you studying at university?
A: I am mainly studying mechanical engineering. I am also researching 3D printers.
Then, I asked Tam to show me some of the works he made with his 3D printer at home!
Q: When is the most rewarding moment for you?
A: I feel happiest when I produce what I’ve actually designed and the final product works as I have intended. This is because I’m still new to designing, so most of the time my designs will not work at the 1st or even the 2nd or 3rd try.
Q: Why can you speak English and Japanese well?
A: I use language as a tool to do what I want to do. By increasing the number of languages that I can speak or listen, I can learn new information and gain more knowledge.
Q: What goals or dreams do you have?
A: My goal is to become a professional engineer and learn many technologies.
Yumonam accepts many interns from Vietnam and Japan like Tam, making it a young and vibrant place with an average staff age of 25. Thank you for your cooperation, Tam!
