On March 11, Mr. Dong from Yumoto Vietnam gave a presentation on the results of what he has learned through the VIETNAM EXECUTIVE TALENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM.

This VIETNAM EXECUTIVE TALENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM has been held annually since 2020 for Japanese companies operating in Vietnam. The purpose of this program is to develop local executive talent who will be able to take responsibility for managing local bases in the future, with localization of Vietnamese operations in mind.
At Yumoto Vietnam, Mr. Dong participated in this program.

Presentation by Mr. Dong
At Yumoto Vietnam, we are actively promoting the hiring of new graduates while also strengthening cooperation with local universities.
Since most of the products we handle are custom-made, it takes at least six months for employees to gain a full understanding of the work and acquire the necessary knowledge and skills. Furthermore, it takes more than a year of experience for them to grow into personnel who can steadily contribute profits to the company.
For this reason, at Yumoto Vietnam, lead engineers are responsible for training new employees and carefully passing on the skills and mindset needed at the workplace. In addition, evaluation sheets are created for each new employee, and monthly evaluations are carried out. These evaluation sheets were proposed by Mr. Dong. By receiving appropriate feedback from experienced engineers, employees are able to clearly understand their challenges and growth directions, while steadily improving their abilities in a supportive environment.
Experienced engineers also make use of “improvement sheets” to review their daily work and continuously make improvements. They not only consider better machining methods and work procedures, but also place importance on finding more efficient ways to reduce costs.
In this way, Yumoto Vietnam aims to achieve higher quality and productivity through both human resource development and continuous operational improvement.

Mr. Dong is usually sociable and approachable, but on this day he seemed a little nervous.
Even so, he made an excellent presentation by applying what he had learned through the program.
